IN DETAIL

Sketch were asked by Mischief PR to produce an anti-gravity style photo shoot to promote Alton Towers new ride Galactica.  The new Alton Towers ride, Galactica is the first rollercoaster fully dedicated to virtual reality and will offer thrill-seekers a journey into space.  So, we set out to create an anti-gravity street which featured cars, people, and post boxes floating in mid-air in a breath-taking space stunt.

In keeping with the space themed ride, the chosen location was the street British ESA Astronaut Tim Peake grew up on which we temporarily re-named “Gravity Avenue”.

Sketch designed and built all the props, provided performers, sourced the location & gained all required licenses for the heavy machinery involved in the shoot.  We also worked with the client to provide all the visuals required for the shoot.  As it was a large scale shoot we also implemented a road closure and managed the traffic on the day.

Our team oversaw & supervised the shoot which resulted in a fabulous selection of images to be used for the Galactica visual campaign.
