Innocent: Crushing It
innocent launched their ‘crushing it’ initiative, to help children to eat more fruit & vegetables – after research showed that only 23% are getting their 5-a-day.
The ‘crushing it summer games’ were devised to make fruit and vegetables fun and interesting for families, in an effort to encourage children to eat their 5-a-day. We were tasked with creating and making the machines that would create delicious fruit smoothies when being used for exercise.
The Execution
We designed and created 6x bespoke, family-friendly exercise machines, including;
- Blender Bike – an exercise bike that blends strawberries when pedalled
- Banana Boat – a rowing machine that creates banana smoothies when pulled
- Zest of Strength – a lemon-themed high striker machine
- Bunch Press – a berry fruit press
- Fruit Basket – A basketball hoop that turns oranges into juice
- High Dive – a grape gravity run wall
Each of these machines were set up at the Olympic Park in London for a 2-day event for families to enjoy. Alongside the machines, we set up a branded podium at the end of a mini race track. This was a great content opportunity for participants and made the kids feel like champions!
Away from the action, we set up a gorgeous little picnic area, where visitors could relax and enjoy an innocent smoothie, served from the branded sampling van.
The launch of this activation was endorsed by Greg Rutherford – iconic British olympian and face of the ‘crushing it’ campaign. He took part in each of the activities, inspiring the kids and educating them on the importance of eating their fruit & veg every day.
