What we did
On the day of a solar eclipse, Hive invited hundreds of guests to witness the spectacular celestial event at Alexandra Palace through a one-of-a-kind experience: Solar-Henge.
Smarts Agency came to us with the Solar Henge idea, born to dispel the myth that solar panels require direct sunlight in order to work effectively. So, we created a replica of Stone Henge – using Hive’s solar panels – that would power a viewing experience for the solar eclipse…
This immersive experience reimagined Stonehenge—constructed from solar panels instead of stone. Towering nearly 5 meters tall and spanning over 20 meters wide.
Visitors relaxed on Hive-branded deck chairs and picnic blankets, complete with Hive-branded eclipse viewing glasses to safely witness the astronomical phenomenon. To enhance the experience, guests enjoyed breakfast baps in charcoal buns from a branded food truck. A carefully curated music playlist set the perfect tone, adding to the atmosphere.
The experience took place at Alexandra Palace, at the top of the hill in North London, providing views across the city skyline and lasted the duration of the solar eclipse.
