What we did
We were briefed by the team at Ranieri Agency, to help creatively develop and bring the ‘Club JBL London’ concept to life.
Following on from JBL’s ‘Club JBL Berlin’ launch, Ranieri came to us to help them execute their latest product launch event – this time in London…
We were tasked with creating an impactful product launch event, revealing exclusive new products and highlighting their features, whilst maintaining the excitement and fun of a party!
Club JBL London was so much more than the average product launch, it was a multi-faceted event with numerous touchpoints and immersive experiences. The venue was split into 6 different sections:
Walking through the iconic Leake Street graffiti tunnel and approaching the venue doors, invited guests and passers-by were greeted by a custom JBL graffiti mural, with AR capability! We worked with our friends at Efomural, combining both physical and digital art, to create a wall that came to life through augmented reality. Attendees and members of the public could interact with the mural via their smartphones.
As attendees approached the venue, they were greeted by a bespoke neon sign and JBL orange butchers curtains. These combined to entice and intrigue, creating a feeling of excitement and mystery as to what could be inside ‘Club JBL London’
One of the most exciting features of the event was the London Underground-themed headphones product demo area. This immersive area replicated the atmosphere of a bustling Tube station. Guests could test out the products in a fully immersive environment, experiencing the incredible noise-cancelling capabilities and audio quality. The demo tunnel was designed to reflect the real-world usage of JBL’s headphones in urban environments, connecting with the local culture while showcasing the product features.
The core of the event was the products area, where JBL’s latest innovations took centre stage. This space allowed guests to get up close and personal with the new products. Interactive touchpoints and product specialists guided attendees through the features and benefits of JBL’s newest audio technology. Live demonstrations showcased the exceptional sound quality and we even created an ‘Evolution of the Flip’ exhibit, to showcase the journey that JBL’s most iconic portable speaker has been on over the years.
Blending food, music and fun, the Flip ‘n Fry Chicken Shop was a highlight of the event. We transformed the space into a JBL-branded, unapologetically-London chicken shop… the Flip ‘n Fry served up delicious burgers, chicken and even pancake desserts flipped live on the griddle in front of you!
After feeding the event’s guests, the chicken shop played host to the ‘After Party’ where 2x rappers from JBL’s Martin Garrix Academy, performed sets to keep the party rolling.
We created the Recharge Zone as a more relaxed space, away from the main event, where attendees could relax, unwind, and recharge both physically and digitally. This area featured comfortable seating, charging stations, and soothing lighting, allowing guests to take a break and fully enjoy the event. The Recharge Zone also provided a perfect space for JBL’s design team to demonstrate the process behind their beautiful product ranges.
The final zone, the Club Room, was the beating heart of “Club JBL London.” Designed to evoke the energy and atmosphere of a live music venue, this space was outfitted with state-of-the-art Harman Pro sound and lighting systems.
The room hosted live DJ sets, including a headline performance by Rudimental. The Club Room created an electrifying atmosphere, where attendees could dance, listen to music, and experience JBL’s audio products in action. The Club Room was not just about showcasing technology but creating a truly unforgettable party experience. It also doubled-up as a thought-leadership space where sessions were hosted on stage and recorded for podcasting.
