To launch and promote its new organic milk range, Yeo Valley Organic brought a slice of the Somerset countryside into the heart of London with a one-day immersive activation at Reuters Plaza, Canary Wharf.
Designed to offer busy commuters and office workers a rare moment of calm during the morning rush and lunchtime crowds, the experience transformed the urban space into a countryside-inspired mini meadow complete with authentic pasture sourced directly from Yeo Valley Organic farms in Somerset.
Yeo Valley Organic wanted to create an engaging experiential campaign that would launch and showcase its new organic milk range while driving product sampling in a memorable and meaningful way. The activation needed to reinforce the brand’s connection to nature, sustainability and organic farming, while creating a standout moment within a busy London environment.
The challenge was to translate the tranquillity and authenticity of rural Somerset into a compact urban activation space that could immediately capture attention, encourage people to pause during the busy working day and create an emotional connection between consumers and the Yeo Valley Organic brand identity.
We designed and delivered a fully immersive pop-up meadow experience in the centre of Canary Wharf, transforming Reuters Plaza into a calming countryside retreat for one day only. Using real pasture sourced directly from Yeo Valley Organic farms in Somerset, the installation recreated the feeling of stepping into a genuine rural meadow in the middle of the city.
Wildflowers, natural planting and ambient countryside soundscapes recorded from Yeo Valley Organic’s own dairy farms helped build a multi-sensory environment that encouraged visitors to slow down and take a break from the pace of city life. Complimentary samples of Yeo Valley Organic milk were served within the space, allowing consumers to experience the product in the very setting that inspired it.
The activation was carefully designed to contrast the fast-paced urban surroundings, creating a moment of calm and connection while bringing the story behind the brand to life in a memorable and highly shareable way.
By combining experiential design, storytelling and product sampling, the activation successfully brought the Yeo Valley Organic brand values to life in a highly memorable and shareable way.
