IN DETAIL

Sketch teamed up with Third City for a fantastic Waterloo Lives Street Art project commissioned by the National Army Museum to mark the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Waterloo.  Sketch designed and created the modern take on the life of the soldier for the Waterloo Lives Street Art project.  We then appointed the hugely talented Rarekind graffiti artists to execute the piece on Shoreditch Art Wall in East London.

Commuters witnessed the artwork being created before their eyes in a performance of live street art.  The impressive Waterloo Lives Street Art piece measuring 20m by 3m took 16 hours to complete.  It depicts 200 years in the history of the returning soldier, spanning the Battle of Waterloo, WW1 and the conflict of Afghanistan.
