Sketch were approached by Freuds to execute a wonderful brief for their client McCain.  McCain launched a McCain Teatime Takeover competition on their Facebook page giving families the chance to transform their kitchen into a fairy tale wonderland for their children.

The idea was to give one family the teatime of a lifetime and one their children would never forget and capture the children’s reactions to their new kitchen in a video that would be used as a viral campaign online.

As soon as the McCain Teatime Takeover competition winner was selected Sketch began work designing the fairy tale kitchen.  The bespoke kitchen was created to sit on top of the existing kitchen so it was easily returned to its original state.

Bespoke makes including a fairground mirror door, sweeping broomstick, independently opening and closing drawers were designed and constructed.  The kitchen floor was covered in fake grass then filled with real rabbits, a giant beanstalk, a wishing well, toadstools, fairies, deer and finished off with a Wizard and Fairy.

Our hidden film crew were on set filming the build & reveal to the winning family.  The film crew used a mixture of drones Go Pro’s and traditional camera equipment to secretly capture the journey home into their new magical wonderland.  The children’s gob-smacked reactions were priceless and the family certainly had a teatime to remember.

The video has had 400, 000 Facebook views to date
