We have been busy bees this month working with the wonderful Campari Group on their Aperol Spritz promotional activity. The brief was to carry out a series of sampling events at various high-end Gastro pubs in the London and Surrey area over 4 weeks in August.
The Sketch team were rather excited by the thought of spending 4 weeks in pubs and so began creating the schedule for the Aperol Spritz sampling events which took place on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings each week. Targeting 2 pubs each evening, our cheery Aperol Spritz ambassadors were on hand to deliver pub goers their free sample of Aperol Spritz. This went down very well indeed, who doesn’t like a delicious free drink in the sunshine? Answers on a postcard….
The Aperol Spritz team were also keen to educate customers & bars about the drink, answer any questions and listen to their thoughts about the cocktail. In addition the pubs and customers were encouraged to tweet about their Aperol Spritz experience on social media using the hashtags #AperolSpritz & #ItStartsNow.
Our ambassadors recorded all the onsite feedback which the Sketch team analysed and created comprehensive reports from.
The Aperol Spritz sampling events were a huge success with everyone. With a large proportion of customers asking where they could buy the drink from and recalling fond memories from drinking the cocktail on cherished holidays.
It’s safe to say that the Aperol Spritz effect definitely took hold of everyone this August!
